Does Major Locksmith install Deadbolts?
Yes we do, Infact Deadbolts are a Major factor in the SECURITY of your home. Doors without Deadbolts can be popped open most of the time with little effort. Deadbolts can not be opened with a credit card or the bolt can not be pushed back. If your doors do not have Deadbolts please call someone to install them.
Should I change my locks or get them rekeyed?
There are many grades and functions of locks. If you have good locks you can just get them re-keyed and it's cheaper then replacing them. If you have cheep locks you should invest in new locks for better security.
I've been thinking about changing my locks or getting them rekeyed, when should I do it and why?
Anytime you buy a house, rent one out for the season, have contractors, kick someone out, or have keys missing, CHANGE the locks. For peace of mind have a new key that you know who has them. We have seen to many times friends, family, and strangers use a key to enter a property. Some times the Police will say it's a civil matter if someone has a key. People lie and say you gave it to them and it's hard to prove you did not.

I'm going to let an employee go, when should I get the locks changed.
BEFORE you let any employee go, change the locks first. Leaving on good or bad terms you need to protect the building. In one night not changing the locks we have seen damage done by upset workers or herd of things missing. Times are hard for everyone so just protect your company.
